Connecticut School of Finance & Management
Congratulations to the Class of 2024 Graduates!

The Connecticut Bankers Association is pleased to announce 47 students in the Connecticut School of Finance & Management’s Class of 2024 graduated on Friday, April 12, 2024!

CSFM is the premiere management training program offered by the Association.  The ceremony, which was witnessed by over 140 business associates, family members, and friends, was held at the Trumbull Marriott Hotel.

One of the many highlights of the graduation ceremony was the awarding of the John C. Shortell Award for Academic Excellence to both Jeffrey Lazzaris of Dime Bank and Aimee Browning of Thomaston Savings Bank.  This award is presented to the student(s) who achieve the highest academic ranking while attending the Connecticut School of Finance & Management.  Jeffrey and Aimee join a prestigious group of individuals who have also been recognized for outstanding academic achievement in their respective classes.

CSFM also presents the Michael J. Piette Honors Award for academic achievement.  This designation is awarded to the students in the top 10% of each graduating class.  Listed below are the five individuals who graduated with honors from the Class of 2024:

Aimee Browning – Thomaston Savings Bank

Jeffrey Lazzaris – Dime Bank

Rachtha Thach – Savings Bank of Danbury

Kevin Cantele – NBT Bank

Alexander Wolan – Newtown Savings Bank

Additionally, applications for the upcoming CSFM Class of 2026 are now available. CSFM has long proven to be a staple within many of the banks in Connecticut, as a critical tool in helping to shape their leadership team of the future. CSFM’s curriculum is designed by bankers for bankers and provides a unique opportunity for junior management personnel and other key employees to obtain a more comprehensive knowledge and understanding of an ever-changing financial services industry. The link below is to the Connecticut School of Finance & Management’s Class of 2026 syllabus and application.  The syllabus provides prospective students with a detailed description of the School’s curriculum and academic requirements.  A copy for download and submission is located here.

There are now over 2,775 individuals who have successfully completed the program requirements and received their CSFM certificates in the 60-year history of the program.  A list of the members of the graduating Class of 2024 can be found below.  Our congratulations to all the graduates on their achievement!
