To assist our members with their planning, we are conducting our annual survey regarding Holiday Openings and Closings for 2026.
As a reminder, due to the Department of Banking’s amended Policy Concerning Holiday Openings and Closings, Connecticut banks are no longer obligated to close on legal holidays (as set forth in Section 1-4 of the Connecticut General Statutes) but may, at their option, close or remain open for business on a full or partial basis on any day designated as a legal holiday. Connecticut banks are required to give at least two weeks’ advance notice to their customers of holiday openings and closings by posting such notice in the lobby of each office.
Please complete the Online Holiday Survey by Friday, July 11, 2025. Responses should only be for bank branches (do not include supermarket branches, unless the question states otherwise). To preview the survey questions, please click here.
We encourage your participation, as the results for this survey will only be distributed to participating banks. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at cba@ctbank.com.
Sincerely,
MARK L. BARRY
